Yeah, it HAS been a while since I uploaded anything, hasn't it? Basically I moved across several states to Pennsylvania to be with my Geologist, and I'm just now settling down.So, I've been trying to play around with techniques and the like for a while now, wanting to switch up the coloring style a bit for the new webcomic project I've been working on the side here for about a year and a half or so now. I've still got a ways to go before I'm happy with it, but I figured it's a start. Now that moving's behind me and I'm starting to settle down, I'm hoping I can release the comic sometime early next year.

No, I've been on a super tight budget for a little bit now. But I'm hoping, especially when the comic gets going, to start hitting cons again more frequently. (Since Williamsport is kinda centralized with all the major east coast conventions, being only 2-5 hours away from all major cities there.)

Fair enough. I didn't make it either. Still trying to sort out my finances after starting a new job 5 months ago, and have to replace my car now on top of it all... Hopefully things will turn around financially for both of us between now and the spring.
I won't be at PhilCon next month because of the car situation, but L.I.Who the week before is local for me and I've already bought the ticket, so I'll be there. Arisia in Boston in January is looking iffy but *may* still be possible. Everything after that, I'll be playing by ear.
I do recommend strongly that you get ConnectiCon onto your schedule. They're probably the strongest in webcomics of any general science fiction convention in the northeast, and for a number of factors, they're now the *largest* general fiction convention in the northeast, at 14,000-15,000 members (presumably including staff, participants, guests and dealers). I went for the first time this year, as a day-trip, and finances permitting, I'm definitely going back, hopefully for the whole weekend next time.

ConnectiCon may well be on the itinerary. Me and the Geologist both have friends in Boston, and ConnectiCon's not that far from it. Make for a great daytrip.

I would think Hartford's a little far from you for a day trip... Barely within a reasonable distance from here for that, and that's taking a ferry instead of the hour's backtrack to the bridges (I live halfway out on Long Island), and thus avoiding the possibility of being stuck in traffic averaging 3 MPH or less for 4 hours in the Bronx on a bridge approach :-P
On the other hand, spending a Sunday night after the convention in Boston before heading home on Monday would likely be quite workable
