Description
Yeah, I know it's been a while since I did the last DC ABCs... Well, DC Comics has really been horking me off lately. Kinda hard to get the enthusiasm up to draw fanart of their characters, when every time I turn around I find out "Oh hey, you know those characters Black Lightning and Blue Devil that you really liked? Guess who also got changed over in the Nu52?!" Or "Oh hey, you know that well written and drawn comic you like, Captain Atom? Guess what's getting cancelled?" and my favorite "Hey, guess what Superman's done with his secret identity?!"Yeeeeeeah, I've been a bit annoyed to say the least. (And Marvel hasn't been a whole hell of a lot better, either!)
Anyway, I apologize for taking so long to get to this one. I've been really trying some different art techniques with this one, mainly a new coloring style, which I kinda like how it turned out. Still wanna see if I can push my lineart into more of a cartoony feel.
Anyway, hope you like.

Superman done with his secret identity? You mean he publicly announced he's Clark Kent or that he's done being Clark Kent completely?
If it's the former, Marvel already did it. And I'm not talking about Spiderman coming out; I'm talking about the "Just Imagine..." series, where Stan Lee recreated the origins to the main characters of DC.

Well, it's an ongoing story... But basically Clark Kent has been "killed". Which wouldn't be a problem except that in this new universe, Johnathon and Martha Kent are also dead too... So it's like they're trying to distance themselves from anything that came before.
And I also wonder how much of this is influenced by the upcoming movie.

Really? Sounds like they wants to have Superman distance himself from humanity. And that's just moronic!
One of the most appealing factors about Superman is that he never had a superior behavior. He always stuck to his roots, a Kansas country boy. Screw being Kryptonian, that's just genetics. And that planet's culture would always be foreign to him, no matter how much he learned.
When the "New 52" first came out, wasn't Superman supposed to be a "hero for the people"? Now he's going to be just Super all the time? ...That's just dumb.

Oh, lordy... what's Superman done with his secret identity?
I like your take on Jor-El. But someday I wanna see someone draw Jor-El on a big chair, sucking on a stogie and saying "I'm gonna make Zod an offer he can't refuse."

My curiosity is only going to give me another reason to hate the nu52, bu what DID Superman do with his secret identity? This is a fantastic Jor-El by the way.

Trust me, you are *not* alone in your feelings of overwhelming disappointment.
You know how much I love Danny & longed for his return to comics...but I stopped hoping for any of my favorites to make their comeback once the DCnU started.
But I AM happy to see you back. Fan art is the thing that keeps me going & reminds me of better comics-times.

New 52 does not exist.
Or at least that is what I have to tell myself sometimes after reading the comics.
just... pretend the last 2 or so years never happened.
on another note, that is a great representation of Jor-El.
