Description *grimphantom asked for a picture of Kiva from the late show Megas XLR. (Man, I really wished they'd DVD that show.)

I got the inspired idea here from a Star Wars cover or something. I can't tell you which Star Wars, if it was a comic, book, video game or whatever... Just that is was a Star Wars cover. I'm pretty sure it was the Tantative IV in the place of the starcruiser there though. If you guys know what cover it is or where it's from, please tell me... It's been bugging me all freakin' night!!

Anyway, hope you like.

That ship in the background looks like the Autumn-te big ship of the humans from the first Halo game.

Simply fantastic! This one should go for a comic book cover if Megas had his own comic book.

The coloring is very good job and Kiva, well you have to admit you gave her some nice booty haha

Well done! Good work but the buildings look a bit too small. Individually all element in the piece are superb but together the proportions seem a bit off!

Maybe it's me! I've the mother of all headaches so don't pay much attention to what I'm saying.

Now this is something really beautiful. Colors blend in nicely, lines just kick-ass and I love the light and shadows you did on Kiva. Truly awsome piece of work. Bravo!

I...DIG...GIANT ROBOTS...etc.

This is an outstanding pic of Kiva! And just top notch putting the massive mother ship in the background. I would've expected Megas, but that's been done too many times. Good change of pace.

And that pose is just...Bootylicious. (apologize for the lameness)

Okay, now THIS I like. This has got to be one of my favorite pieces that you've ever done. This might be a bit lone, so bare with me.

First off, the sky. You do a lot of evening shots, a lot of orange skies, and a lot of stars. That's not unusual. But the descent from actual night to sunset is something rarely seen. You pulled it off beautifully with the night on top, stars brightly shining, then it fades to a dark orange and the stars aren't so bright. Then it keeps going to a lighter orange normally associated with sunsets. This is a beautiful transition and you made it turn out just so. I love it.

The ship is also quite spectacular. The angle it is at is amazing and truly conveys the ship's magnitude. It's hard to pull off something that large, but you did it without a hit. I know you didn't design it (I assume) but the actual ship itself is quite nice. The colors are beautiful, the shading is just right. I love the front with the prongs sticking out. It reminds me of Gun Buster or maybe even Halo a little. The Ion drive glow at the back is also real nice, and blocks out the skyline like it should.

The buildings are there, again, to convey a sense of scale. They seem to be far off-ish, and the large tower seems to be a traffic control tower of sorts. That just gives more credence to how large the ship is. The distance between them and the character, and the size difference between the buildings and the ship all flow just perfectly. The colors you picked for the buildings are also nice. The shading is quite good, though could perhaps use more as they are of the back side of the sunset AND the Ion Drive, and little light would be reaching them. Or perhaps add just a few floodlights might help.

The character. I must admit, I have no idea who this is. I've never seen Megas XLR. However, that doesn't stop me from liking her. I can see your style in parts of her, but for the most part she doesn't look anything like what your normally draw. For one thing, she has all her cloths on. I tease but it's true.
The body pose seems very natural, very real. I can just picture her walking along, and some one calling her name, and she turns to look back. Her left hand is up and out of sight, which is good IMHO. She might be carrying something in her hand or under her arm. It makes her more realistic. If she had had both arms down and out, she'd just look like the thousands of other cheesecake pin ups that are out there. (In fact, the right arm/wrist is annoying for just that reason, but I'm going to ignore it) But the arms along give this character life.
The small of the back, with the twisting motion seems to have a natural flow to it. It doesn't look painful, it doesn't look like something only an expert contortionist could pull off. Very smooth, and leads right into the upper back.
The shoulder blades are great, not overly accented but also not non-existent. They compliment the shading VERY well, which is also very nicely done in placement with the light sources.
The face is very much your style, but not overly you. Her lips aren’t about to explode, her eyes aren’t gona fall out. They are… subtly you. That’s hard to pull off, and you did it flawlessly. I also love the hair design (I love pigtails. WTF is wrong with girls these days? None of them even LIKE pigtails) and the eye through the hair was a nice touch.
Ah yes, the butt. The Glutimus Maximus. The ass. The tail end. Where do I start? I start at the exit. Somehow, and I’m not entirely sure how, you screwed up on the butt. It seems… overly poofy. Like she has butt implants or something. What is LOOKS like is that she has granny boobs sitting on her butt if that makes any sense. The shading is a bit dramatic, and in a (relatively) skin tight suit like that, one would think that they’d be able to see under her butt cheeks. I guess that’s what’s bothering me, is that I can’t see the entire thing; they fall down too far and block my view. They should be about 2/3rds the size they are now. Also, it wouldn’t be as obvious as it is if it wasn’t the main focus that it is. It’s the first thing the eye is drawn to, and it just doesn’t look right. Sorry.
The legs are just like the arms; very natural, very real and very believable. The left one is very nice, totally in the shadow, and the shading on the right one conveys her stepping out of the shadow of a building. In fact, the shading on this entire piece if absolutely top notch. The actual light might only have 2 sources, but the implied lighting is what makes this work. Not with what you’ve highlighted, but with what you specifically haven’t highlighted. The shading, while perhaps a bit sparse, is well placed and phenomenal.

Over all, it simply blows my mind that you’ve packed so much into one little picture. Everything is there, yet it manages not to look “busy”. And with so much detail one would think a larger space would be required, but it all just fits so well together. In fact, I’d venture that if you spread it out, it wouldn’t be half as interesting.

This is such a wonderfully great piece, and I’d buy a print (or poster!) if one was offered. That is, once you fix the butt.

Can't. Not my character. Belongs to someone else.

Even if it's not illegal, it's something I'm morally against.

There was a show on Cartoon Network a few years back called Megas XLR. It was a fun show that was probably one of the better mecha shows I've ever seen.
