Geez, I would love one week where DA doesn't "upgrade", wouldn't you?

Yup, a Transformers page here. (God I cannot believe I used to be that detailed. I miss it.) Here's the story with this one. (As well as the second page.) A few years back... BOut late spring, early summer 2004, me and this one writer (who will remain nameless) worked together a proposal for Dreamwave for a Machine Wars comic miniseries. We had sat down on the phone one night for eight to nine hours straight, hammering out this concept that I still love to this day.

Essentially it was the story of the end days of the Great War. The Maximals had risen in power, the Pax Cybertronia was established and Megatron and Prime were dying of Nucleon spark poisoning. The universe was changing and Prime had no problem letting it change and quietly and gracefully passing away with peace fully established. However Megatron to die by some disease and set forward amotion that would force a "blaze of glory" death by the hand of his eternal nemesis, Optimus Prime. He wrote up a five page preview so we can present it to Dreamwave at OTFCC '04.

There was some cool twists and some awesome concepts thought up here. I was EXTREMELY excited about it...

Then came time for the full script.

What he sent me was NOT the idea we had discussed. What we discussed was an "end of the journey" type of story that is timeless and classic. He sent me a rehash of the "Transformers come to Earth" story. I cannot tell you how pissed off I was.

I still love this concept, and I'll be honest with you all. If I wasn't "stuck" on Shadowgirls... I'd be drawing this. And if I can work a way to do it, I might try doing both.
