I know I've been a little quiet on this side for a bit. No, I haven't forgotten about the DC ABCs. I've just been a little preoccupied. I got a new Intuos 4 tablet the other week, and I really haven't gotten a chance to color something with it. (I mean, I have... But it's none of it's MY artwork.)I thought it might be kinda fun to draw Becka McKay from my old comic Shadowgirls, as how she would be as a 20 year old. I thought it turned out nicely, lineart-wise. Then I colored it...
It may not look all that different from how I normally have colored stuff, but there's a big ass notable difference to me. A normal picture like in the past would have taken three to four hours. This took 45 minutes. The more precise controls of the Intuos over my old Graphire is really like night and day. And I'm kinda looking forward to seeing how much I can grow more with this.

Yeah, I did find myself missing drawing her. I'm gonna have to see if I can work her into the next project into a bigger role than just a cameo.

Well, the new book is being worked on right now, as I want the whole thing completed to avoid any missed updates. And the odds of Becka up there popping up in it seem very likely, according to the magic eight ball.

Well, I hope so. It's a lot different of a story from Shadowgirls, but hopefully it'll resonate with people.

Aw, she's all grown up! Still making messes, though, I see. And she's got a sword, so she's probably having a lot of fun making them.
