I'm planning on making a new film for my course at university. It will either be about Mat and Brixie (the two rabbits), or Puupuu (another character of mine).

I have seen your animation, Machu. I think 'Mat the Demented Rabbit' is well done movie. The greatest thing I like is motions and actions of characters, which were drawn by you.

Animation - I wanted to experiment with different animation effects, like those from American and Japanese cartoons, because action is something I like.
Sound - I admit the sound is the worst part of the film. To tell you the truth, it was done near the end of the production and I'm not someone who deals a lot with sound, so I'm not that skilled with it; I mainly draw things.
Story - Originally, I wanted the story to be longer and have more ideas, but I had to condense it. This is why it seems so fast-paced. The focus was more on action than story. I think I will learn more about story in the future.

I made this when I was at univeristy studying for a BA (Hons) Animation degree. I research various techniques from cartoons. I even did so before going to university (well...dabbled)
How I made it :
I drew the frames on paper first (doing tests first before cleaning lines up), then when I was happy with the frames, I scanned them into the computer and coloured them on Photoshop. I then put the combined frames together in layers on After Effects and exported the film as an image sequence. Finally, I put the image sequence together on Final Cut Pro and exported the final film (with audio of course ^^).

Yeah, it took about a day just to scan in some of the artwork. One piece of advice - never leave scanning and colouring a pile of images until right at the last moment, (like I did

I Really Like The Simplicity Of The Background Buildings, As Well As The Use Of Color For The Sky

I wanted the background to look simple, like in some zany American cartoons. The colour of the sky a partially inspired by Batman: the Animated Series, where Gotham City tends to have red skies at night.
