Description
Another of Yosemite Valley (my favorite). The steep wall on the left is El Capitan, a 3000 ft (1 km) wall which is the favorite of rock climbers. It typically takes 2-3 days to climb (meaning climbers sleep suspended from the wall!) but the world record is around 2.5 hours. The three triangular peaks on the right are the Cathedral Rocks and Bridalveil Falls is visible on the right as well. The famous Half Dome, about 8 miles away, is obscured by blizzard clouds with only a tip of it visible near the center.
