Description
MEN control much of the world. ((WILL COME SOON))EVLES live only in small pockets scattered across the world. They are reclusive and shy except when they choose to attack in which case they are brutal and efficient, although small in numbers. All have long, pointed ears and very good eyesight, and are usually peaceful within themselves. They usually avoid both humans and elves from other places. Only once the few who complete the pilgrimage to Danarayel mingle with other elves, and those who reach the Island on which Danarayel is situated never leave.
There is a single known elf who lived among humans for any amount of time - Labanath, better known as the Necromancer of the Moor, and he travelled around under the mask of a musician and storyteller while stealing people's dead from their graves. He was known as a cheery, friendly fellow who sired more than one illigitimate child in each town near the Moor. After a time, he relocated all the dead to the Moor and retired, presumably died amongst his army of bodies. It was uncertain what any of his real motives were -- after all, who goes around stealing people's dead for no reason whatsoever? -- but that he was the bizarre exception of elven kind. At any rate, people think he is dead and there are many myths and legends about him in more recent times.
The Wood Elves are by far the most numerous of Elves, and live in the Rhiettwoods and Euran Forest. They control the major cities of Rhiettas and Eurith, as well as the war outposts Yervis-ran, Eldem-ran and Wadren-ran. They also control the lesser cities and towns of Etves, Kalkim and Irdyn. Their borders are not heavily guarded, human travellers pass through freely unless they stray too far into the forests, in which case they may be killed. They fare best as archers, and are lithe and skilled tree-climbers with curiously long arms.
The Euran Elves are ground-dwellers, and live amongst the roots of the greatest trees at the centers of the forest. Because of the coniferous nature of most of the Euran trees, the Euran Elves tend to have grey-ish colouring and wear muted grey-greens or brown-oranges to blend better with the wax-green and red colour of the pine needles.
The Rhiett Elves live in a deciduous forest. Their houses are gouged out of huge living trees which are then healed with great care to prevent their death, and they are more happy to be at a great height rather than on the ground, where they feel exposed and vulnerable. Their clothing changes with the year, pale green in the spring; bright green in the summer; yellows, golds, oranges and reds in the autumn and lastly white or black in the winter, depending on whether or not it has snowed. Their hair ranges from bright red to auburn to brown.
The High Elves are by far the least numerous, although perhaps the most civilized, of all Elves. They live solely in the small city of Airal and the town of Estid. They live in proper albeit strangely designed houses with high ceilings and dangling chadeliers, and are very fond of carvings and archways, and even better - carved archways. They are not interested at all in warfare, and spend their time weaving, painting and doing other artistic projects, which they trade away when they are done. They are, however, prone to stealing anything that they can get their hands on and tend to be greedy. They wear clothing of all colours, mostly white though, and have fair skin and white hair. They are the tallest of all elves, averaging six feet, with a somewhat spindly, awkward build. They are magicians.
The Plains Elves are the least civilized. They have no great cities, and only two permanent towns, Raida and Mereiya. They live in nomadic tribes that roam the Mereiya plains, herding scrawny cattle and breeding sturdy horses. They steal, they raid, they kill and murder with little or no regret, live in filthy hovels and don't know the meaning of shoes. They are all tanned and blonde and have brown eyes, and are generally no taller than five feet, and tend to be skinny. The Plains Elves specialize in cavalry and archery while riding.
The Mountain Elves live further north than any other groups of elves, limiting themselves to the single small town of Draecher, a dull grey little town made of stone, stone and more stone. Other than that they live in tiny family groups and shallow caves in the mountains. They eat goats and breed strong, sure-footed and stocky mountain ponies that are suited for high altitudes and can almost literally climb a cliff. The elves themselves are closer to human in build than any other elf, stockier and heavier than other elves, with pale-greyish skin, dark hair and dark eyes. They suit small scale raids, and are perhaps the most violent of elves.
The Sea Elves might seem a very, very rare sight, but in actual fact they are quite numerous. They bind their ears and take extreme measures to behave as manlike as they possibly can, sometimes even not recognising another elf. Typically, they are tall and gangly, nimble on boats as their cousins are in trees, but clumsy on land. They tend to be pale, but can be tanned depending on the waters they traverse. Their hair ranges through all colours. They control the port of Yerard, as well at the towns of Misk and Trisstops. They typically tend towards stealing and piracy.

Well. I want to write a fantasy story. You heard me right, MACKICO WANTS TO WRITE A FANTASY STORY! I know right. I'd NEVER pull something like this on you. WRONG!
This is my world map.
At the moment the only character I have is Ansil the boring human lad and Labanath the insane Necromancing Elf that lives on the moor that Ansil was named after.

I don't say things like that as a joke. Yes, really. It is quite good, and it is just the kind of work I'm needing done. I can't do it myslf, as I haven't any real artistic talents at all.

But... you don't need artistic talents to do it, you just need to have a picture of your map in mind and some basic programs.
My map there was put together very, very quickly.
I made a couple of quick brushes in Photoshop Elements for the trees and roads -- if you look closely you will see that there are only two different looking trees for the whole map -- and scribbled in the coastlines, cliffs and mountains. For that varied background colour, I threw on a 'cloud' texture.
For the words and the little town dots, I used MS Paint because I can't do shit like that with Photoshop, I don't know how.
I put the entire thing together in less than half an hour, and it was easy.
Or do you not have any Photoshop program at all? Because that could be a bit more difficult.

I'm not sure. I know my PC has some basic panting and artistic programs, but to make sure what all it has, I would have to look. I don't think I have, but it is possible I am wrong.

I just need a map altered, titles, colors, details like that, and my lack of talent is such that I can't even manage that.

I could give it a try for free if you could give me a copy of this map that needs altering. Not promising anything, but school has ended and I've got two months before I have to go back, so I could have a look at doing it.

Interesting map, and nicely done. If I had the money, I'd pay you to do some work for me, if you were willing to, that is.
