Amazing how just that one thing--the addition of a cloak--elevates this construction in my eyes from something that is more automaton than anything, I to a thinking, feeling being with emotions, motivations, and personality. The adoption of clothing, in addition to being a touch of the organic, implies an aesthetic sense, which from there leads the viewer to extrapolate a full sense of BEING in this machine, not just a mere robot. Whether benevolent or sinister, this is definitely a being capable of embracing either choice in full understanding of what he has done.
