What are the odds to catch a scene like this... after all it can't be staged, yet it is so perfectly photographed you'd think they must be posing.

Sometimes it's fun just to spin him up

He got bent recently because he thought I was deliberately ignoring one of his posts on diffraction and the truth is I hadn't even read it -he cares about that whole issue a lot more than I do. I've already put that one to bed and moved on, but me thinks that Brian has based the reason for his technique on the "diffraction problem" so it's important to make it look like a big issue. I just go out, shoot at F11 and any mag, and get good photos -same as you...

The only time I step in is when Brian tries to make it seem like you have to focus stack to get good images. He needs to understand that how you take a photo is irrelevant -only the final image counts. Unfortunately he's convinced me, from his public and private messages at Fred's and PoTN, that he thinks there are only two ways to shoot macro -his, and everyone elses. I honestly hope he wakes up before his attitude damages his reputation...

tbh what alot of hassle it would be stacking every image.you would be spending 3x as long processing them..and tbh there sharp enough//belive me if i thought stacking was worth doing i would do it. keep up the good work buddiei tryed out the 2oclock and 11oclock on the robbefly shots i took..seems to work well

The light looks sweet in those images Scott -quality work my friend...

I shot a jumper on my car this morning at 5x that didn't fill the frame and it would have been impossible to stack -little sucker jumped every time the flash went off...
