Hierodula salomonis - jade mantis

jade mantis just hatched..my 1st attempt at this species failed..she laid 1 ooth before dieing..so i was gutted about that.the ooth didnt hatch

the hole of the uk mantis keepers where relying on someone to get this species going in uk..all tho graham of metamorphosis(The only guy in the uk that has permission to take species from other countries and bring them in the united kingdom to breed them).Any way he still has the species in culture but there so hard to get off him no one can get them..There was 4 nymphs circulating around 4 months ago,i managed to get hold of them which was dam lucky..This species is inposiball to get normally.Any way after raising them to adult,i mated the female with 1 of the males then she laid some fertile ooths..shes laid 3 so far..ooth number 1 hatched last week.so i have around 60 nymphs feeding well as i type on fruit flies..the 60 are going to 4 of some of the best uk mantis breeders in uk.

If ooth number 2 and 3 hatch which im sure they will i will have some for sale to the public.

im using 400d which doesn't handle high iso very well to please excuse the high noise..i did use noise where pro but there's only so much i can take away with out the image looking plastic.If any one wants to buy me a canon 40d pm me
