Description The California Condor is a personal favorite of mine
It summarizes all that I live for
In the 80's, there was a point where 22 of these beauties were all that were left in the ENTIRE WORLD

Now there are several hundred thanks to efforts from zoologists, conservation/rehabilitation experts, and "ordinary" people who care.

If we try, we can keep this world from falling to point zero

Taken at the San Diego Wild Animal Park
Enjoy ^^

I LOVE THIS PHOTO.
I ALSO DOWNLOADED IT TOO.

It is a beautiful bird of prey even if it is bald.

I've featured this awesome bird in my latest journal. Spreading the Vulture and Condor appreciation to others. [link]
Because vultures and condors do indeed need more love.

Indeed, it has much to ponder over. Like why conservationists are spending more time fussing over wolves (which are no longer endangered) rather than animals that truly need urgent attention

As sad as it is to admit, animal conservation is a popularity contest
The "pretty" animals get all the attention
It's very depressing
Personally, I think condors are gorgeous
Thanks for the comment!

I was still inexperienced, I had my old, decaying cam. And it was their lazy day. Besides I did not know about people like you
