Description
Nováky, Slovakia 15.07.2021Very nice looking Class 770 that belongs to the private railway company. As every locomotive, it also have its own story. According to the factory plate it was produced in year 1990 and its serial number is 16749. Searching for more information reveals that actual production date is 29.12.1989, and date of delivery is 08.01.1990.
The locomotive was originally produced for the industrial use in Poland, where these locomotives are labeled as S-200, and the number of this locomotive was S-2140. But it seems that for some unknown reasons it never made it to the Poland, and so it was delivered to the DUSLO, a factory producing chemical fertilizers based in Šaľa, Slovakia.
There it was marked as T669.0538, which is the original way of locomotive numbering used in the former Czechoslovakia, discontinued after year 1988. But mostly in Slovakia, vast majority of industrial locomotives still tend to carry the number plates with old numbering.
In year 2014 the locomotive was acquired by the PSŽ and repainted to their green and yellow livery, which in my opinion looks very nice. Back in its DUSLO days it looked like this. The locomotive that spent most of its life in single facility is now traveling all across the country.
