Who would ever guess few decades ago that one day the British Class 86 locomotives will appear in Slovakia. But with many private freight companies around using lot of second-hand locomotives from different places this became a thing. These locomotives are used in Hungary and can be spotted also in the border stations in Slovakia.

Photo nicely shows obvious difference in clearance for which British locomotives are designed and clearance that is in effect in continental Europe. The pantograph has to extend all the way up to reach the electric wire, quite a difference from when these locomotives used to operate in their home country .
