Two Class 721 locomotives seen in the Zvolen passenger train station. Their task here is shunting of the passenger wagons. Once a very widespread locomotive can now be seen only in several larger train stations across country. Class 721 was produced in years 1962–1972 by ČKD. Apart from its use in Czechoslovakia, it was also exported to the Soviet Union, East Germany, Poland, Albania, India and Iraq. These locomotives were used in industry as well.

Despite their rundown appearance, they seems to be working just fine. Every time I visit one of these stations, the 721s are constantly doing some shunting.
