No, Toph, you were not, you lucky devil! If only all the main characters hadn't been introduced till the second season.These are just nitpicky things really, the real issue with the Airbender movie is that it's so bad IT PUNCHES YOU IN THE SOUL.
I wonder if Shamwow has ever had a conversation with another human being before. You wouldn't know from the way the dialog reads. I wish he had. Maybe that human could have told him not to make this movie. T_T Alas, the ENTIRE film is talking, talking, talking, explaining every last thing, thus deftly avoiding the need to SHOW US ANYTHING!!

Other characters fortunate enough to not be in the movie: Jet, Suki, Avatar Roku, the Ocean Spirit, Koh... well, all of the characters really, cuz, I don't know who those people were in the movie, but it wasn't them...

Also, was it just me, or did everybody in the movie sound like they were on the verge of sobbing every time they spoke?

I haven't watched it yet, and I'm really not planning to, even if I do like the Avatar television series. Rotten Tomatoes gave this movie a 6%, even if it did really well in box offices.

I saw it last week and I was ranting as soon as I saw Katara waterbending
my mom got pissed cuz I kept ranting and yelling about how bad it was
I got to furst period the next morning and kept ranting and people were shocked @ how bad I told them it was

Yes! I hated that they switched Katara's and Zuko's skin colors. That was ridiculous! And thank you Zuko! I could barely see the scar in the movie!! D8< Let's take down the director!

the flick is bad, really bad. Wrong colored mainactors. Aang came of as an emo-teenager with his self-pitiness... where was his easy going nature. The firebending was wrong. The airbending took forever. The waterbending was to weak especially Katara. In the serie she is a really strong chara with temper in her mind, a strong heart and formidable bending skills. In the movie she was just another weak little girl which throws around splashes of water. What happend to her fight with the southern water-tribe master? What happend to their rule about the no-fighting-women stuff and her 'I don't take that shit from you, let's fight you old geezer'. What about Soka and his jokes, or his fighting, was missing totally, he seemed like he was only there because he couldn't be just left out. Zuko's scar was missing, and Iron looked like Obi Wan Kinobi with bad attitute.
How could the ocean spirit be missing, it was the one saving the south pol?
I stopped watching the film after the fight Katara vs Zuko, since it was just too bad.
Tell you what, if they make a sequel, I bet Toph is going to be a boy and not blind, since girls and especially handicapped ones can't be that strong.

i actually liked it but people are complaining to much about all the movies it's like we shouldn't watch movies anymore becaus we all know they suck i just don't get just watch the movie. also i know that you (and the other who read this (hopefully)) are avatar fas (the nickelodoen cartoon) and i know that you are pissed that you expectation are not fulfilled but do you think that it's that easy to fit one chapter (or 1 book from the cartoon ) to fit in a 1h30/2h film i also had issues about the movie but i didn't let it bother me because i wanted to see the movie not to see the comparisons it has to the cartoon.

I'm not one of these people though. Read through some of my comments. I defended the Scooby Doo movie! I ENJOYED The Village. I went to see The Happening in theaters! I LOVE MOVIES, good and bad!
Agree with me or not over it's badness, but the thing I cannot forgive is how it treats the source material. The cartoon is fun, and joyous, and colorful. The movie is drab, and morose, and in the exact same vein as the rest of his horror movies, which is so very wrong for this. It is, in fact, a slap in the face.

The water spirit was the dark koi right? Yeah I could shoot M Knight in the knee, he changed too much left too much out (writes fault for some of that) however, I am glad it was made. The only way they could save the triology now wouldn't be keep him as director but to get a different, and possibly win or loose change again for the third one. Some movies that do that tent to progressively get better til the end.
Also Shamwow should def stick to twist movies, he's decent just not in movies that shouldn't be changed too much from the series ; ;
