I read a fanfic called "Smoke" in which The Doctor recalls how Ashildr had told him, that Clara would be gone one day that she 'Would blow away like smoke". Which does seem to foreshadow her fate. It seems that Ashildr had always had psychic dreams, remember she thought the Viking warriors of her village would all die and then they actually did when the Mire killed them. Plus she looked at The Doctor as if she'd seen him in the dream as well.
It was in the 1600's that she told The Doctor that about Clara so in the present day she wouldn't remember what she had foreseen or her part in it.
PS: I have a connection of sorts to a Raven. My college I went to has a famous pub that by legend was once visited by Edgar Allan Poe, therefore they have a stuffed Raven sitting behind the bar. Supposedly Poe fell from his carriage upon arrival and cursed the place. Saying that all who visited were doomed to return. They have a Raven in their logo too, although the name is the Deer Park Tavern. Which is in Newark, Delaware. They now have a Food Truck called "The Roaming Raven".
And here's another Who connection: in 2010 Billie Piper did a surreal fashion photo shoot where she was "The Raven". With ghostly makeup and a Halloween type costume.
And then there was the character of "The Black Guardian" in Classic Who.

Now I've been thinking...if The Doctor took the tattoo from Clara onto himself, he would not have survived the Raven. He couldn't regenerate as it would consume his life force/spirit.
Plus Ashildr wouldn't let him do that anyway since she had to send him to whoever was ordering her. She couldn't give herself to the Raven either. Also, I'm guessing it can only be transferred one time, can't be passed around, even with enough time provided on the clock.
I would imagine there is some fan fic out there about what happened after. They wouldn't just leave Clara on that street, someone had to carry her back to the real world.I'm sure that Rigsy's portrait of her would be based on a news photo which he copied onto the Tardis (obituary photo .) Not certain how that would work but that's for fic writers.
PS: I saw a photo of Jenna that said season 9 and she's wearing a blue "waitress" type dress with an apron. Maybe another of the varied Claras in The Doctor's timestream? Past or future?

THE DOCTOR re-enters from another room in the infirmary,
having moved her body inside. He’s utterly numb.
But then he sees rueful, guilt-ridden ASHILDR at the chamber,
busy entering something on the screen. Everything suddenly
snaps back into focus.
THE DOCTOR
Not yet! Don’t send me yet.
(he turns, urgent)
Local Knowledge. Rigsy. Can I call
you Rigsy now?
RIGSY nods, emotional.
THE DOCTOR (CONT’D)
You’ll take her, won’t you? Take
care of her?
(Rigsy nods)
You’ll tell her family, her school.
You’ll remember her, you’ll -
He stops short with a horrible thought, rounding on ASHILDR.
THE DOCTOR (CONT’D)
You will not Retcon him again. Damn
your rules. She died for him and he
will want to remember that debt
until his very last breath.
RIGSY
Please? No one will hear about the
street, I promise.
ASHILDR is torn. The street is everything.
THE DOCTOR
ASHILDR!
You owe Clara, and you owe
me. You owe me this much.
ASHILDR is pinned by his fury and his grief. Finally, she
nods. THE DOCTOR looks relieved.
ASHILDR presses one last thing on the chamber’s screen, and
THE DOCTOR’s cuff starts to make an eerie, wailing sound.
ASHILDR
I’m sorry, Doctor. I truly am.

I'm thinking that kind of "black magic"wouldn't leave a trace to the cause so I guess it would be officially recorded as undetermined.)

Me had arranged to use the Chronolock on Rigsy and that she would not kill him or anyone. Clara broke that contract by accepting the Chronolock of Rigsy and cannot be able to take it off her.

To JediSenshi...I guess I understand now. Anyway, it was sad what happened that Clara's plan failed. But then, The Doctor himself doesn't always have a great plan. And we've seen his ideas fail before too! and have to be rescued by companions or others. Maybe The Doctor had to learn to pay more attention to his companions. I'm sure he was in a very emotional state while having to not break down and show it.
The Raven actually reminded me of something in real life...When the Croc Hunter (Steve Irwin) was killed by a flying stingray which pierced his heart. I remember that news story because it was such an unusual incident.
