Considering this references Prime, an FPS, it doesn't clear the screen, but it could blow holes in walls. And maybe deal severe damage to enemies.
Maybe an upgrade will make the apple bomb plant an apple tree right where it blew up. But only in open spaces.

I say the bomb turns enemies INTO apples. Or a tree grows so fast and large that it entangles and crushes minor enemies in its roots.

That...would be awesome. Of course...we can't say the bombs summon living apple trees that act as powerful minions that basically DESTROY anything they touch! Sadly, not so useful during boss fights.
Course...can't forget missiles either. APPLE MISSILES!
