At this size, you could even print it on an A4 sheet of paper without loos of quality. Awesome!

I'm so tired Y-Phil Β
After 9 days straight I've almost finished translating Book 2 for an industrial moulding machine..... each individual page in a fully illustrated Word docx file
Today my "bossette" (although I'm technically self-employed) informs me that there areΒ  FOUR MORE books to do
My biggest problem has been the file sizes (about 30MB/page), so I decided to experiment with image formats... Now they are about 120KB, so that's why I wondered how small I could make a big image by indexing the colours...et voilΓ !Β

Now back to work

I understand you so much. Being myself self-employed, I'm so tired, too...Β Β

As I just mentioned to phraught, I rendered it exactly like this but the resulting PNG file was 5.2MB (far too big), so I managed to get the number of indexed colours down to just 32 (no dithering) without noticing any difference .... At 3607Γ—3852 it's a very big pic, so I'm happy

Very nice look about this - amazing how much can fit in a small space sometimes. Β  Just finished the first pass on my alternate images - some of those are in the 50-80kB range - and look quite nice. Β

(snucked off wurk again... that's it for the day >>> walk dawg >>> sleep)

I was happy with a 3607Γ—3852 @ 610KB... Thirty Two refers to the indexed palette, the (almost) self-same RGB pic came in at 5.2MB .

Isn't it "had snucked off"? Β Β  Β  Β I wondered when I first saw it if it had a limited color pallette - really works well.
