WHOOOO! Now that's what I call a real wedding! What I like about this couple is that they didn't fall in love at first sight. Belle and Adam's relationship in the Disney franchise resembles the real-life "falling in love" stage with us...they actually took their time. Adam was a Beast during the majority of the months he and Belle spent together and didn't get along too good at first. What strikes me with them is how they learned each other the longer they stayed in each other's company, how they got know both good and bad things about themselves (with Belle helping Adam depart out of his selfish, unkind attitude) and how their personalities mended together to the point where they completed each other. Adam loves everything about Belle and vice-versa even before he was turned into a human again which is why they deserve a happily ever after!

Disney has said clearly and repeatedly that his name is not Adam. Β It can't be stated enough.

I'm aware of Disney's claims about his name. I just call him Adam like a majority of other Disney fans because it was a nameΒ everyone gave to him since Disney never seemed to give him a real one. We can't just keep calling him "Beast"--that is now irrelevant since he's human again and besides, all the other Disney princes have names...why can't he have a name too? The fansΒ decided to willingly name him Adam out of consideration for his character. The name is even used in fan fiction.

Right, he's not a beast anymore, so he's simply referred to as the Prince. Β It's not that confusing and usually makes perfect sense in context. Β There are a couple other princes who are not referred to by name, and they've been getting along just fine without.
Some fans refer to him by that name because of a misunderstanding based on one use in a fringe computer game (which was reportedly an in-joke for He-Man fans). Β Consideration for his character would be to respect those who created and developed him and not assign arbitrary character traits to him. Β And of course it's used in fanfiction, but that's a terrible justification for doing anything Disney-related (there are a LOT of inappropriate and ridiculous things to be found in fanficition).
It's not Disney's "claims"... it's Disney's official stance on their official character. Β It might not seem like a big deal to some people, but respect for others' art matters.
(I mean, come on... it's not even a French name.)

I usually don't get involved in too much Disney stuff due to their...recent works, but I can respect their defensive stance over their iconic characters.

It also illustrates the interpretation of love and marriage in the Bible and how a man is SUPPOSED to treat his wife...same thing for women! They commit, help, and submit to each other as a whole instead of one trying to control the other *cough* like Gaston *cough*

Do you have the Disney Princess coloring books "Wedding Wishes" and "Princess Brides"?Β The former features Aurora, Jasmine, Snow White and Ariel.Β The latter features Rapunzel and Tiana.Β Both books feature Cinderella and Belle, both princesses each in two different wedding gown styles.
