A drawing I did this morning that was inspired by my dear friend 's new short story. "The MetaMorph Institute" *seen here: [link] *. This story was both wonderful and heartbreaking; Charm is such a strong character, and her story both uplifted me, because she held on in the face of torture, and broke my heart, since they were inflicting it on a child whose own father had handed her over to be tortured, all because she was a little different.

The picture is titled thus because my character, Madame Finitevus, was also a victim of torture in the ill-used name of science when she was a child. The only real difference between what Charm went through and what Madame went through, is that Madame's own parents did the torturing in her case. She and Charm are years apart age wise, but when it comes to this sort of thing, that doesn't matter- different ages, same suffering. Madame would understand.

Angst aside, I just love drawing this lovely hedgie.
