Animated gif on how I made this.
2. If you want to work with this many stock items you should make a group in your layerpallete for every item. In this work each items has about 3 or 4 adjustmentlayers with a clipping mask and has 1 or 2 layers containing his own shadow. You quickly loose the overview if you don't do groups.

Are those heads up on the wall carvings or real heads? This girl uses fascinating contrasts. The Gothic architecture of the room might be where some monk copies out Greek classics or works on an illuminated prayer book; the sweet white cat keeping him company. The witch looks like a soft, gentle maid clothed in the white of innocence, (I am aware that in Chinese folklore white is the color of death.). Even the objects don't look too bad - ok the raven, the skeleton in the corner, the skull on the back of the chair and the previously mentioned heads on the wall kind of give the game away. Even so, remarkably restrained. Which leads me to believe she is a very powerful witch who doesn't need to impress. Good, for I need a powerful potion to kill the slut who betrayed my love.
