Now I am going to be more leary walking around the neighborhood, knowing there is such a species of tree..... LOL!! Excellent work Jeremy, definitely grabs the viewers attention!!

thank you rachel!
if you think that's bad you should get a load of the mold that grows on the trunk.

most likely the former as opposed to the latter. what else would cause a tree to look like that?

You just keep getting better and better. I imagine looking for this tree for years and when I'm about to give up I find it and wish I hadn't. Beautiful work man.

This piece makes me wonder many things, like which face the hands belong to, what is happening to the tree that is making it react so emotionally, and why there is such a multiplicity of emotions being experienced by a single being that is generally accepted as non-conscious to begin with (i guess there are those who believe in plant consciousness, but it isn't exactly a generally accepted fact)
I think your choice of orange was very strong. It's so vibrant here that when I wasn't looking at the piece, writing the paragraph above, I was convinced that there were a lot more colours going on.
Anyways, I think it's very good that you made me pause and ask all those questions, I often neglect to take that much time looking at an art piece, so thank you. : )

thank you, alina.
i am honored by your words.
i sort of did this one "at random" but i was researching schizophrenia at the time, so that is most likely the concept.

awesome, it looks great. when people finally figure out we're meant to be trees, the world will be complete.

thanks! heh heh, yeah i wanted to use warm colors instead my usual palette, plus i wanted the leaves' colors to indicate decay. turns out this fits in well for the upcoming holiday.

Reminds me of people who commit suicide in Dante's Hell, they turn into trees. Good work!

thanks for the words!
that's so awesome you thought of that too. dante's inferno was a heavily influential book on me, creatively. what a masterpiece. that actual chapter came to mind as i working on this drawing.
for my next piece: a bunch of people writhing in a river of shit. (just kidding)
