Description
I know I said that I would not do any fan art any time soon, but as of recent me and Nicko (my twin sis) have been engrossed into Disney animation, particularly the Renaisscence period between 1989 and 1999. But if you guys know me, I am particularly not attracted towards the classic formula of sweet, kind and beautiful princess gets the man. I prefer more unconventional heroines and maybe, over the course of the following months I shall draw the Disney (and Pixar) heroines that I like which are:
- Megara (tick)
- Esmeralda
- Pocahontas
- Kida
- Jane
- Mulan
- Merida

Each of these characters have something that sets them apart from the classic Jasmin, Belle, Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Rapunzel and Tiana formula and that is their personalities and actions speak more than their beauty and status (princesses).
Most of the 7 heroines I listed are not princesses, they are more noble women than anything (Pocahuntas, Kida, Mulan, Jane) or are ordinary women (Megara and Esmeralda) and each have their own unconventional traits and virtues.
Megara is boisterous and proud, Esmeralda - feisty and unchained, Pocahontas is adventurous, wise and powerful, Kida has the same power as Pocahontas and a more wild side to her, Jane is comical, funny and very smart, Mulan is the stamp of bravery and selflessness and Merida is unconventional through all her actions and intents, which kinna makes her annoying at times (but hey, I still prefer that as opposed to reckless for the sake of it! *coughArielcough*).

This is not usually the length of a description I have for fan art. I tend to keep them short and simple
