Just finished reading the first book today, so I thought I'd look at some of the free cross stitch patterns available. Here's one I put together; it's roughly 140 by 100 stitches. Feel free to download for your personal use.Related content

I've been looking for a personal computer -before there were any. Anyway, when i acquired an Apple ][+ one program I wrote was a drawing program. This is a sort of pattern I might have keyed into it. My drawing program even saved patterns and macros (programmed drawing of repeated details). It's been so long since I had an Apple that I forgot all my programming skills or even some data on my commands in my programs.

I use a demo for Stitch 2008, which, being a demo,Β doesn't actually let you save your pattern. It does, however, do everything else I could ask for, including "scanning in" pictures. So once I scan something in and clean it up, I use the Snipping Tool my laptop came with and GIMP to break it down and stick it back together.
Once upon a time I had a bunch of HTML commands memorized, but I suppose coding is like any other language, if you don't practice then you lose it all.

How about this: find a picture of him that you like (a simpler one will come out closer to the original) and either put it in your stash or give me a link, and I'll run it through the program I have.

I actually use digital images I find and upload them into the program. Someday I hope to get a drawing tablet so I can fully make my own.
