Pandas are my favourite animals but they seem to have been long forgotten in my art world.So this rainbow panda shall have to do.
I cut him out and put him against some colourful foresty background and scanned it in.
This was more for myself then showing off any supery-dupery art skills. But he's pretty cute right?

I just spent a good five minutes staring in wonder, and probably another midway through this reply. I'm struggling to explain why but I think the overlay works brilliantly...it's like an extra level, gives it real depth. And apart from being just about the happiest, most glorious thing I've seen in yonks, this, if not secretly directly stolen from Totoro (because I still need to see it), would lend itself perfectly to a children's book, because I think I would buy one too. All I would say is it might benefit from photoshopping out that bit of shadow, to even up the outline, but that's probably pushing it.

Well I did scan it like that so it probably gives a more natural look and I love scanning tissue cos it always makes it look 3D. =]
You can certainly see Totoro inspirations but I doubt anyone would sue me for it.
