Description
The wonderful and lovely BumblebeesAndRoses gave me a 3 month membership a little while ago and as thank you I offered to do some work for her! One thing she was interested in is how I create my ponies! So here is the first of a few different tutorials I'll be sharing with you all! This is about how I make the manes and tails on my pixelled ponies! With an added bonus of how I make gradients on the ponies I've done, like these pieces:
I hope you guys don't mind my little doodled commentary, I thought it'd make it a little more interesting! c:
Please link me to things you made with the help of this, I'd love to see them!!
the base I used can be found here: selenaede.deviantart.com/
the piece created in this tutorial can be found here: (coming soon!)

You have a great cute tutorial! ^^ one question! did you use the curve line tool for each sides of her mane? And all parts of her mane?

I use the curve tool for all of it usually! Sometimes I'll go in a use the pencil tool to fix awkward areas!

Does it usually take around 3 lines to make the mane (without counting the tail)? I'm curious since I'd like to try myself! ^^ btw, I've been meaning to tell u that I've seen ur photography pics a Disneyland! the pics are lovely and detailed! *O* simply divine!

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by three lines, but depending on how detailed the mane is you'll be using the curved line tool a lot.
The best way to learn is just to play around with the program, so I would definitely suggest just going into the program and trying it out!
And thank you, I've really been enjoying taking pictures at Disneyland! I'll be back soon to take lots more! c:

Ok! ^^ is it bad if we don't have a mouse? ^^' or it's just harder to edit?

I find using a mouse much easier, I use a wireless mouse with my laptop, but it isn't impossible to do with a track pad! If you're used to using a track pad, go for it!

It does take a while, especially with big areas of color, but I'm a major perfectionist so I don't really mind, haha!
