There's four major things I like about this Artwork:
1) The Armor Proportions match to her body within the Armor while still keeping the original concept of an Androgynous silhouette.
2) The Armor also features Damages/Scarring, even with her Shields, and Repair systems, there are times where the Armor will get dinged up. This is a very nice addition. Also the Logos on her Helmet, right power core and Arm are a very nice Aesthetic touch that make the armor seem even more Real and also gives us a realistic in-universe display of the Franchise Logo of the Metroid series. Well done.
3) Her hair is a Reasonable Length for fitting into her Helmet without obstructing her field of view. The Canon High Pony is much too long for such.
4) The Best part is her facial features and Expressions. You can see her deeper thoughts within her ExpressionsΒ yet still see the Human Woman within her throughΒ those same Expressions. Features wise she looks like a Mixture of European and Asian ethnicity, Which is something I've always loved seeing. I will say this is subtle in this image so I don't know if it was intended, but regardless, I love it!
I have to say, so far, this is the best image of Samus Aran I have ever seen.
(A minor thing I do like is the choice of Hair and Eye Color, I always imagine Samus having darker shades of hair and eyes, even within Blonde and Blue ranges.)
My only real (but minor) Artistic Complaint is it seems like the Armor Damage/Scarring is only visible on the upper torso. Below the line formed by the red colored segments of armor it seems like there are no Damages to her armor of any kind. However this may just be due to the darkness of the shading, so therefore it is only a very minor complaint.

I very like your work on Samus. Specialy light and colors. I feel the melancholy in her, almost like sadness, beautiful. This is probably the best work I've seen about her.

Sorry to say this but, this looks like a photoshopped supermodel version of Samus. Which is antithetical to her character. You may as well do fan art of Ellen Ripley as recast by Meghan Fox or something. She's just not that kind of character. The entire thing thus comes as shallow.
What I'm saying here is, and I'm trying to be constructive about this, but you've made Samus look weak and OOC. Its artists not understanding the character such as yourself that's responsible for the massive failure that is Other M.
So I encourage you do this: Please, rewatch Alien, Aliens, Terminator, and Terminator 2. For if you recall, these movies are the original source material for the character that is Samus. Then, draw another edition.

This is awesome - though Samus is traditionally a blonde so I would have liked to see her hair a bit lighter. Other than that small nitpick, this could almost be another Hunter? A whole other storyline about a second Hunter would be so cool...

I know it's been about a year but Samus is blond in this drawing google 'Ash Blond'. She had a look similar to this persons art work at the end of Metroid Prime 1 =3

A very detailed and realistic version of Samus. Works like this should be seen more oftenly, there are too many drawings of pictures of her involving nudity or abnormal anatomy proportions.

This is astounding. I think the insignia, home planet, and name give her a very militaristic feel as if they are a soldiers dog tags. Which fits because she was a solider before becoming a bounty hunter. At first glance, it actually thought she was a female Commander Shepard. Samus is way cooler than Shepard though.

That is so insanely detailed! All the screw holes and scratched on her armor. And then the detail in her face and hair is great!

A small, ludicrous thing for one to notice in comparison with the REST of how amazing this is? Her visor on her helmet, holy god...
The detail on that ALONE is incredible, seriously, it looks like there is actually some structure behind it, it looks like it has been polished but still is pitted from debris impacts, has that look of colored glass to it and just LOOKS AMAZING! I freaking LOVE Those little details like the decals on the helmet and shoulder/upper arm gear, and her expression has this look like she has seen more fighting and destruction than most people EVER see.

That's definitely a much younger Samus than what I imagined was beneath the helmet, but it works.
The suit's colors seem inspired by the PED Suit in Corruption.
