This was just supposed to be something I slapped down with leftover paint...but I ended up really liking it. It's very sloppy, but I think there's such a strong mood to it...kind of weary yet peaceful.Related content

It has great atmosphere. Kind of goes to show that details mean nothing in a drawing if you first don't get the foundation of atmosphere and movement down. I get the idea the horse is on a beach and it's so desperate it's about to take a drink from the ocean. The time could be sunset since the shadows are so apparent, very symbolic that the horse's life is about to end with going of the day. The picture is kind of blurry but it sort of adds to the atmosphere and the possible delusional state the horse's mind is in. Trying to focus on this too long makes me feel kind of dizzy.
