PLEASE DO READ!!!update, february 2013: I don't wish to hear anything about how you think the way I draw is funny or ridiculous, come on guys, this isn't youtube. To explain a little more than I could in the new included information in the beginning, yes, I'm awfully sick of people laughing and/or making fun of the look of it. about every month or so I get a new comment with the old, same "jokes". So whenever I finally start to motivate myself again to work on this, those comments make me angry and I can't look at this WIP for another month, and this vicious circle is making me tired.

update, june 2013, OFFICIALLY DISCONTINUED: this is just an official statement, letting you know that I will most definetly NOT continue working on this. at first I didn't have the time to finish it, then I was lacking motivation due to mean and unnecessary comments and now I'm just not that into the series anymore. (I still love it, just not enough to really finish a huge ass flash game about it.) so, sorry if anyone who watches me solemnly watches for this game, because it is CANCELLED thanks for reading, have a good day.

actual title: The Big Death Note Date Sim Flash Game WIP
It's far from finished, but it's been on hold for several months now and I can't seem to get myself to work on it again for some reason, the main 2 being I want to work over the whole art that's already in it and lack of time, so here you have the WIP version of it.
About TBDNDSFG:
* it includes 5 locations (only 2 of them accessable yet), namely a park, a candy store, a toy shop, s book store and a videogame store.
* It should (and maybe, only maybe, some day will) include 5 characters, still not sure if I should add Misa.

Hey, sorry for getting back to you this late, but I rarely use this account anymore. To make a flash game you basically "just" need a suitable program. I used Adobe Flash for this, but that's not a free. I also sadly don't know any free animation programs that I could recommend. If you do find a free to use software (or if you can purchase one), there are tons of online tutorials to help you out! I made this game forever ago and haven't really done anything like it since, so I won't be much help. Sorry!

I actually did enjoy playing it, I played it over like 19 times before I left it open in another tab to come back to later. I wasn't suggesting that your work was BAD I was simply saying that it was AMUSING and it made the game more funny and amusing to play. Don't you think your behavior is really childish now that you know that? For me, I laugh at everything. A grape will fall off a table and I'll laugh for, like, ten minutes. I like it that way. Laughing means I'm happy and content, for me at least. Lighten up, don't tell me your not happy when your laughing.

listen up, I DON'T feel childish because laughing at someone's art is amazingly rude and nothing else. going all the way to even TELL them that you laughed at it is just disgusting. What if I was an insecure 12 year old who was proud of that artwork? I would be very discouraged, that's what would happened. on websites like this one, you have no way of knowing who the artist is, so you can't have any idea how much rude asshole comments like yours could hurt them. Luckily for you, I'm too old to be seriously influenced by what anonymous people on the internet say about my stuff. comments like yours have led to young artists giving up their aspirations. so you say you enjoyed the game, why not leave a comment about that and leave it? does it make you feel better to make fun of people's work? Please think about what you'd feel like if you submitted something you worked 16+ hours on and then everyone ridicules it, points out the "flaws" they see and never talks about what they enjoyed about it, even though they did. so yes, the way I see it, your actions make you the worst.
start considering that behind every icon on this website, there's a person with actual feelings that you know nothing about, and that your disrespect for people's work, art and style could one day seriously harm someone without you ever noticing.

I just said I'm not making fun of it. I'm saying that I liked it. Laughing means I liked it. I think the drawings in itself looks fine. I. Like. Them. You are defending against someone who is not on the offense. I like it, I think it's fun and funny, and I'm glad you took the time to make it. You keep asking if I like to make fun of things, but I'm telling you that that was my way of expressing how much I liked it. You seem eager to defend against nothing though, so I know you won't really read any of this and instead come back about how I am making fun of you. But I'm not. I like it a lot. I think it's funny. Funny= Good. I don't feel like trying to have a conversation with someone who is locked into defense mode, so goodbye.

Are you kidding? I think it's pretty cool to post stuff and keep it up after its been made fun of. Besides, not even a year ago I had a horrible... I call it an 'Art Crash.' I went from drawing somewhat realistically, to sucking. Now I just barely can draw, and I haven't posted anything yet. At least you got the hair. I failed at L's hair so much... I cannot draw L to save my soul. Well, I can draw pretty good, but to look at something I draw is to realize just how much I am not an expert.
I think this is cool, though. Don't give up!! Improvement comes, but it took me awhile to... This isn't as bad as when there's really good people, but horrible backgrounds (or vice versa). That's 100 times worse, in my opinion. At least we can tell it's all in the same style.

I can try to explain depending on which program you'd use. I only have adobe flash professional CS5, so that's the only one i can use. but you can find plenty of tutorials on youtube and dA, no matter what program you use ^^
