Osmund had always had a knack for reading people. Being a young, curious boy made him very perceptive to others. He could distinguish if someone were nervous, uncomfortable, excited, or anguished by their body language. Osmund also had an urge to comfort others. Maybe it had started when he watched his mother's glow erode over time; she had never said it out loud, but he could tell she was hurting. It wasn't until later in his life Osmund discovered her pain came from the family's business.

Try as she might, his mother did her best to keep him from that world, but his father invited him in with open arms. Initially, Osmund felt a sense of accomplishment for having had his veil lifted. Being accepted into this world by his father also made him feel overjoyed. At the same time, he was torn between right and wrong.

Osmund's father had picked up on his son's ability to unravel people. He also noticed his memory was superior to anyone he had met before. These qualities were even more apparent when he began taking him to poker night. It wasn't long before Osmond advised his father through a hidden earpiece since he was too young to walk into casinos with him. From a van outside, his dad and his partners would hack the security cameras and watch while Osmund counted cards and suggested moves. Throughout all this ordeal, teen Osmund would find comfort in the rundown Church. Though he was conflicted with his actions, he never once confessed. The elderly priest did his best to steer him in the right direction with what little information Osmond gave him.

It wasn't long before others caught on, putting them all in mortal danger. From casino owners to angry gang members, they all wanted a piece of Osmund's father and crew. The family name did not protect him from the bullet that eventually found his skull. Somehow, the secret of Osmund being the key to the swindle never surfaced. The fear of it ever doing so still lives strongly inside Osmund, as a few old scammers still live.

Now, Osmund walks a different path than the one his family had for him. This obviously doesn't bode well with many of them, and deceit runs rampant in that neck of the woods. They would find a way to use Osmund one way or another. For now, he has a new home in Harthaven, where he watches cautiously from the Oranburry Church.Occupation
