He has a backstory that I will trite here if you can be bothered to read itxD

Backstory: (Brief) As a kit He was sold to a company that turn animals into test subjects. In His case they were working on turning a cat into a robot by injection/implanting things into his blood system or even replacing his organs with artificial parts. One day when the wrong cargo package with Product.No.Z in it was misssent to a barn. There were some other cats in the box with him but they all ran of aimisly in different directions.
The void: The void are robotic animals that are programed by T.H.E.M (the test people) to hunt them down and they find them they will send a signal to them telling them that they have found a escaped product.
