Never lived there so I don't know. But it seems a beautiful area.
Had friends who lived on the outskirts, lots of trees. The wife made them move because she was freaked that she couldn't see very far because of all the trees. They had moved from the desert, but she'd hated that too

The trees are lovely; it was the people in general that made me weary. And it can be gray and absolutely dank and dark for months on end. I like a still, gray day- just not for three months. One plus is Puget Sound. I think it stays around fifty-five, sixty degrees year round- way too cold for swimming, but it generally makes for mild winters and relatively cool summers- a very stable climate. I left nearly twenty years ago, and issues with the bums, street drugs, and high rents were bad then- now they're out of control. I'm glad to be gone from there. I live in the southwest high desert now, and I'm much happier here. We have a lot of open land that you can actually walk, shoot, hike, stargaze and camp on, a high biodiversity, and lots of cute big-ass Latin girls. I don't know what more I could possibly ask...

I haven't been to Seattle in probably 20 years. Too far to go and it rains too much. Though I liked going to the Archie McPhee store there, and the REI store.
The desert does have its advantages!
