"There is so much more, inside me, now..."

It was that moment, he knew things changed.

One moment she was in his paws, tumbling about, all confused, with tiny little noises. Such a tiny terror. He chuckled.

But now, here she was, in the same meadow he had taken her, years ago, for meditation. The same meadow, that he and her mama had spoken those same feelings, to one another, back at the waterfalls.

The same meadow that brought the family, true joy.

And, oh, his baby, his beautiful baby girl, how proud he was of her. Especially how she looks so much like her mama, in every aspect. Her smile, her eyes, gentle gaze. oh it was bittersweet, at best.

How I wish she was here, to see you all grown up. He thought, tearfully. He knew she would be so proud of her and Vulcan, right now. Just as much as he was.

Slowly, he trotted up, to Nia, his eyes glistening, the more closer he's gotten.

Nia felt her future began to sway, like the breeze, upon her pelt. How it sends her shivers, that this was now it.

This is if. She thought, nervously. Especially when she was indecisive, on where to go, from here.

But those thoughts were interrupted by a familiar figure, ahead. Her papa.

And with the way her papa walked up, her own eyes teared, as the two were finally nose to nose. Eyes glanced at each other.

His warm gentle gaze, his warm smile, the sense of gentle aura surrounding him, as he kept his gentleness to him, she solely remembered, as a pup.

The moment had come.

Seeing tears in her eyes, had bought more tears upon the black wolf. The future was ahead of them, it seems. just by two noses apart....

....She really was growing up.

Oh, my baby... He thought, tearfully. He was so proud of her.

Though, truth be told, pride was not the word, he was looking for, in this moment. No.

There was so much more, that he felt, than simple pride. So much.

Of that, of love.

Slowly, he stepped closer, before shifting his head, sideways, leaning his neck, against his baby's, pulling her into his warm embrace, slowly settling on his haunches.

Nia felt warmth, of her papa's neck, against hers, his head rested against her shoulder, settling down, while she, alone, stood.

Lips quivered, as she clenched her eyes, gripping her papa's embrace, more tightly, as if he would disappear, at any given moment.

She's growing up. And she knew, at the aspect, that someday, he would no longer be here. And that terrified her, to her core.

"Papa...." She murmured, brushing her muzzle, against him, trying to take in his warm comforting scent. His warm scent. Trying her best, to keep his scent, in all it's familiar.

Eli chuckled, warmly, feeling Nia Burying her muzzle, into him. She could feel her warmth, emanating from her pelt, as well as shivers.

More chuckles were let out, as he trembled, as well. Not in a bad way, of course.

But that of which, he knew, that she's no longer his little pup. But she is still his baby. His precious baby girl.

She always was.

(Of course, I just had to use one lyric, from it, cause it fits Eli's expression, here perfectly....;;..)

Haha, but really, this is one steppingstone, for Nia, and especially, her papa. Both unsure of the futures, ahead. But one thing is clear, to them both.

That whatever future holds for Nia, she would always make her papa proud. Just as I am, almost tearing up.....

I'm so happy that, not only an I getting better at writing, but that I'm finally going to continue her story. I'm still unsure where it'll lead to, but I know her future will be a bright one. ;;

You really will blow us all, away, Nia.... ;;
