Chris woke up, feeling pain in his body. What just happened? Where was he? He then saw knuckles peering down at him, smiling.
"Chris. thank god your awake." knuckles said, relieved. Chris looked up and saw shadow was there as well as tails.
"What happened?" Chris asked.
"Well, when you battled against the professor, you must've using too much energy and you collapsed. Thus, shadow and knuckles brought you here for me to look after." Tails explained. Chris slowly nodded.
He tried to get up but winced as the pain was getting to him. "Augh." He cried in pain.
"Chris don't move. You hardly have energy left. You need rest." Shadow warned him, as he gently pushed the boy down in bed.
"I'm sorry." Chris apologised.
"Sorry. Why are you sorry? You Shouldn't be. That was the most epic battle I've seen since the metarex incident." Knuckles laughed.
Shadow nodded. "True. The most strongest battle yet. You must have a strong spirit or something."
Chris looked at shadow and smiled. " I am strong. When I have faithful friends by my side to support me."
I guess that is pretty much it for the story. A bit of a spoiler for my new fanfic "the return of darkness." But it doesn't matter.
Just to let you know, I didn't draw this. I merged images together to make it look like shadow, knuckles and shadow are really there with Chris.
Anyway, I hope you like it.
