I was searching through my drive for drawings I made during the time I was absent from dA so I could post them all here, when I came across this forgotten piece. I drew it way back in 2015. It was supposed to a redraw of an even older picture: fav.me/d5rkbpg It shows my two The lion King Fan Characters.

Hamu (the golden one) and Huzumi (the red-ish one) are Sarabi's daughters, born a few months after Mufasa died and Scar took the old queen as his mate (it was a political marriage). Due to the timing of their birth it was unclear with of the lions their father was. Of course, after seeing the cubs, most of the Pridelanders assumed that Hamu must be Mufasa's daughter while Huzumi - Scar's. Because of this since birth little Hamu was treated like promised savior, all days and nights groomed to take the throne and restore Pridelands to its former glory. Meanwhile, Huzumi... well... No one outright bullied her and the lionesses were always nothing but polite but all of them would keep their distance form the dark cub and forbade their children from playing with Huzumi since she was believed to be "a bad influence".

Don't worry, Huzumi didn't turn evil because of this. Instead, when she was a young adult, she grew so fed up with all this sh*t that she decided to leave the Pridelands forever. To her surprise, on the border she met Hamu. Turns out the golden girl wasn't happy either. All her life was a never ending stream of royal lessons and animals bowing to her. She was sick and tired of being treated as an object instead of a person (she didn't have a single friend, for the Circle of Life's sake!) and having all of these expectations placed upon her.

And so the sisters flee the Pridelands together, leaving the whole mess behind.
