Description
A while back me and my friend recorder two-part podcast about a novel titled "Iron Lyons. Forges of Dawn" by E. M. Kinsey ( ). In order to make our videos a little bit more interesting, me and my friend drew several derpy pictures parodying various elements of the book. This in one of said pictures.Uhuru discovers that she can use the power of HEART!, also known as the coolest elemental power ever. The drawing is a reference to Captain Planet and the Planeteers, quite obviously.

It's accessible on the wiki and in comments? I don't know, Jen. I really can't agree if you can google it or find imagery of it, I think it doesn't take a genius. I understand where you are coming from though. If say this was all information Kinsey had said privately to me or someone and was not public, I would teetotally agree with you, do not worry. The issue lies in the fact the wikipedia (past and present edits) along with public comments have hinted or spoilered. I've not given away anything from her patreon, so I think this is fair, right? If you can google it or find it sourced publicly, it's alright.

If not on the wiki, it's in comments on bios. I remember seeing the spoilers back in 2015 and some in 2016, so it's not hard to find stuff. Patreon stuff is meant to be posted on DA later according to what she had planned and set up, so what's on there should come to public eye later. I already know Ana's listed with Ari as her kid and Kosperry's picture was later talked about and mentioned that it was part of Thousand's plot, can't remember if the hound thing was comments or profile discussions.

Not a lot had happened since 2015, she told Maera in December 2017 the book's giving her hell so that means less content of course. So no need to worry, you haven't fallen behind, not a lot of new is out. Even the group is super inactive and small(not that book fangroups tend to be massive, they often stay tiny).

I too am looking forward to buying the next installments in the series. Sadly, it looks like the second volume won't be getting published anytime soon. Well, at least there are novellas, comics and short stories that were published online to keep us busy until the next release.

Yep, although the patreon has been pretty dead for a long while. Which sucks because anyone still funding it, if I remember, has only gotten a few things in the last few years. I'm not sure if you can have a dead patreon for too long before it becomes a problems. I still liked when new materials were put on there, not enough's getting put up to get us fans by though.
Tech I think book two's been sat aside for Road to Ruin miniseries books, so maybe those will be pumped out next.

Well, Kinsey gets money from Patreon per a thing she posts, not per month so if she's inactive, the Patreons aren't paying her. It's pretty fair, if you ask me. What worries me is that with the Patreon dead, now pretty much all social media connected to Iron Lyons are inactive, that's... a pretty bad sign for the series.

Pretty sure it may or may not happen due to Disney looking into the books since a lot of people reported them and Disney will start striking as soon as too much money is made. So until popularity happens, the books are safe. This is all info I got from people who submit to the LLK blog and stuff as well as email replies and Iron-Lyons own words. As years ago she asked Disney herself and they told her to get a good lawyer. We'll see either way.

I honestly don't think so. As far as I know, the second book is not getting published due to the fact that the author is having a writer's block, not because of any legal claims by Disney. And even if Disney tried anything funny, it would be rather easy to disprove any of such claims, since Disney does not own the idea of talking animals and the books don't have much in common with The Lion King moved outside of having a lion as its protagonist and being set in Africa. Just look at recently published Bravelands: Broken Pride by Erin Hunter. The book is set in Africa and has a talking lion as its protagonist and yet Disney is not laying any claims to it.

It's writers block but back in the day when people inquired, there was also legality issues and some other matters. Due to how Forges is published the rights are iffy, as opposed to Erin Hunter, Erin Kinsey(Iron-Lyons) self-published if I remember, and that. . . legally, is a can of worms and was a concern. The block may have come from the stress of how low the profits are and how much of an issue future published works could make.

Really? I had no idea that in US self-published authors have different rights than other types of artists. In Poland self-published authors have exactly the same rights as the ones working with professional publishers. Even simply posting a work online (for example, on a blog) counts as a publication and gives you rights to your work (it's different for logos and trademarks, however).
