Decided to upload this old tutorial.Sorry about the wayyy overlarged text. -_- And ask any questions you need. I know I suck at tutorials.
This will work with any GIMP version I think. I don't know anything about other Programs though...
EDIT: I haven't used gimp in years and I completely forget how to use it so I am very sorry if I can't really answer any questions you have

Okay, on step six I think you left out some words because it says 'A dotted line with appear around your horse' and then it skips right over to 'horse onto it's background. And add some pretty details.' ?

I am having trouble. Whenever I choose the selection from path tool, instead of putting the dotted line around my horse, it just connects four random dots and make a mis-shapen square! I have tried on like 5 diff horses, and I am about to smash my computer in, HELP~
