Omigosh... =0 The way you handled the fur is simply amazing. Even with the dark coloured hair, you still managed to give it such a bright sheen-like quality. I am thoroughly impressed.
Just some advice if you'd allow it. =w= Make sure you clearly define where the light source is. If I had to guess, I'd say it was somewhere in the upper right of the subject. The entire piece is pretty bright, though. I'd suggest darkening some areas to really bring out the light areas and highlighting. ^^
Can't wait to see this when it's finished. I'm sure it'll end up in my favorites! Also, I'm going to add you now. =3

Thanks! Glad you found me lol
Hm.. how do I get it to shine like that like make it white then dark? Welll errrr I'm not exactly 100% sure what you mean by that question, but if you mean how do I give shiny effect to light areas on wolf
then what I do is I just shady lightly in shadow areas with dark greys.. then I add very lightly my base colors, and shade shadows around that, leaving midtones blended in. I then add color compliments around everywhere, just use random pencils to mix it up a bit you know?
sorry for confusion, is that what you needed? I MIGHT, sometime in future, make a colored pencil tutorial if I find time to.

MaeRoxi In reply to ElmWolf [2009-06-21 01:37:06 +0000 UTC]
Oh, you just start by coloring in darker areas with grey pencils, then add base color lightly, and shade over that with darker base color, okay?
