awesome....even though the circle patterns don't really fit in with the rest of the picture but this is really cool.

Some of those fractals have sharp circular patterns that don't look very natural. But overall the colours and details are really nice and both planets look very realistic

I don't know why people love fractal brushes for nebulas

Nobody knows...
BTW its not brush

Hmmmm.. anyways, I think the work will look better without it

I don't agree with you . The work is nice but you need to work a bit with the fractal to blend it better. I use fractals and =synax444 's fractal nebulae are breathtaking so it is just a matter of practice to make something good.

Ok, here a question, what is the point of the fractal thing in space?

As aRchAng3lZz sad, many of the planatary nebulas look like fracktal. Just search on APOD.

and a few more fractal like real nebulae:

Ok here are a few answers
First of all you can generate some fractals that look awesome as a starfield you can check at the =tsarye gallery for some. I have used them too and maybe noone understood taht.
Second Placed right and with the right blending mode the add a lot of depth and detail to a nebula. And it also is a realistic touch (check [link] <- looks like combined fractals heh?)
And you can make awesome looking dust with fractal on difference with lowered brightness and contrast.
As =synax444 said - it is a matter of tast but when you don't like it and/or you can't use it don't say it is pointless or non-realistic

All the best,
aRch

So it depends on the way of using fractal stuff in space-art
