This is a birthday gift for a friend, but I'm not quite happy with it.So, if you could provide any sort of critique, I would greatly appreciate it.

I personally would try to get more of a feel of motion to it. Don't make it Look like she's dancing, make it Feel like she's dancing.

i was just pissed off because mostly all dds are real "wow-pieces" and there are just so many mistakes in the anatomy...

ahaha, I've had 2 daily devs so far and I am so not in the 'high society'. I don't think DDs should be taken so seriously, they're not sparkly prizes or anything, they're nice features and 'thumbs up' for an artist... so no high society in there

It rained here today, and my friend and i ran outside, around the block, dripping, sopping wet all the way through. hahaha, so much fun. (:

I don't think her right knee would face that way, and her right arm is bent a bit too much at the elbow, and I think her shoulders are a bit too small... But I love the colors and her expression, and, hey! Congrats on the DD.

Unfortunately, I have no advanced critique to offer. All I can say it that it is an excellent use of colour and that it looks like it could brighten any mood.
But I have to ask... is there a subliminal image in the walls, or is it just my imagination?

I like the colours and the lighting, but the anatomy is a bit off. The arm holding the umbrella doesn't look like it is bending the right way, maybe try it so the hand is facing forwards? Also, the arms are a different thickness. The right arm (not holding the umbrella) needs something perspective-wise to show which was it is bent.
I'm not an expert at these things, but I tried my best. Overall, much better than anything I could do anyway.

yeah i really like it, the bright colours really bring a happy mood to what would ordinarily be a sad rainy day. when you create it doesn't have to look real, becuase in changind the mood to happy it gives the picture a kind of deeper meaning.. more than just a girl dancing in the dark rain. realy nice, the person will be happy i recon

You should add a lampost shineing down on her, that way you don't have to worry so much about changing the light.
