After page sixty I gave up on this shit. The sad thing is I'm a fan, but his collections of shorter stories or even shorter novels are more interesting. If the film can do it better, then there's a problem.

My biggest problem with IT is that it leans too much into the "Monster" part of the "monster clown". Say what you will about the original miniseries, at least I could imagine that pennywise actually fooling kids and tricking them into thinking he's just a harmless clown before he eats them. If a kid saw Pennywise in the new movie IRL he'd run like hell in the other direction.

True, I get that the people of the 2017 movie adaptation were trying to emphasize that the clown isn't actually a clown, but yeah, the point of the clown persona is to lure kids in not to scare them away.

I like this. It's the design and the time it took to make. Look at the balloons it has a reflection of a person. Not many releastic artists do this.

I hope some version of this scene was in the remake. It's one of the most iconic parts, or at least the "we all float" part is the only thing I know about IT other than the author and the basic nature of Pennywise himself.
