| Upbeat | Idealistic | Empathetic | Emotional | Stubborn | Forward | Oblivious | Immature | Self-centered |

 Upbeat:
Full of life, youthful and energetic, Redkit searches out new experiences and wants to help older cats find a little more joy in their lives. She loves smiling and she loves seeing smiles, and besides that she loves all of the usual kitten things— playing, and bouncing around and bothering the older cats. Just try and stop her.
 Idealistic:
Redkit holds no bitterness toward the world and, as she so often sees the best side of cats, believes every cat has good in their heart, and wants the best for everyone. She also thinks she can be the cat to make it happen. She assumes she'll be able to figure out how when the time comes.
 Empathetic:
Though her obliviousness and difficulty hearing can lead her to miss important things, when she grasps the emotions of other cats she feels a strong personal response, and genuinely wants to help them out. She loves seeing other cats smile, particularly in her own family. On the other hand, seeing strong negative emotions in other cats is very harrowing for her.
 Emotional:
Redkit feels emotions deeply and has very little self-control. She is a child, after all, and she has little to no concept of nuance either. She's not a subtle person.
 Stubborn:
Redkit's beliefs run deep, and as just mentioned, she has little notion of subtlety. She rarely understands what's going on around her anyway, so she has little idea how to adapt to different situations. All she knows is what she believes.
 Forward:
She has a hard time learning to converse gracefully, owing to her struggle to learn language with her hard hearing. With this lack of social grace, paired with her idealism, comes a direct honesty that can be either refreshing or blunt, depending on the context.
 Oblivious:
Redkit is hard of hearing. Beyond this, and because of it, she has a hard time learning social grace, and while she has a good understanding of body language and expression, she doesn't pick up on insinuation or implication easily. She is great at picking up on emotions, but can't often follow all of the reasons for those emotions.
 Immature:
Red kit
(If you're gonna make me write multiple sentences, have these: She's 0 moons old, and physiologically 2 moons old. She doesn't even know how to speak yet and can barely hear her fathers' lectures on good behavior. She barely knows her own name. She does what she wants most of the time.)
 Self-centered:
Partly due to her age and partly her idealism, Redkit sees the world through her eyes first, and has little sense of the history of her Clan and its long past. The present belongs to her, and is all that matters; she lives in her own world most of the time, and in her world she is Leader. The only problem is that nobody else has seemed to notice her inherent greatness yet.

Likes: Her dads, her sister, playing, flowers, birds, colors, water
Dislikes: Being trapped in camp, being less than other cats, cats who behave badly, cats who believe other cats are bad, fear and anger
Fears: Heights, being lost, being alone, losing her family

Kithood (0 - 5 Moons)
When first found by her parents, after being delivered to them by StarClan, nothing at first seemed wrong. She was a fine little 'newborn', apparently a tom, seemingly healthy and rambunctious.  She soon developed an odd habit of turning her left ear to whoever she was listening to, and never heard whispered instructions; within days, it became evident to her fathers that she was partly deaf. They determined through tests diguised as games that her hearing was worse if not altogether gone in her right ear, and quite poor in her left. She didn't seem to notice that she couldn't hear as well, not yet at any rate, though she was quite slow at learning how to speak; her speech, when it came, was slurred and slightly mangled. She has yet to notice that all the cats around her can hear each other much better than she can, and she doesn't know what whispering is. She is most concerned with figuring out how to express to her parents that she is not a tom.

Example: "He's my dad," Ashpaw whimpered, barely audibly. Why was everyone so desperate for them not to know Nightstorm? He was a strong warrior— why did nobody else realize he was their Clanmate? Why couldn't they just have a father? Their breathing was far too fast, their chest far too tight; they felt lightheaded, and beside that, they felt like their world was destabilizing. They couldn't choose, they couldn't cut either Lightstorm or Nightsnow out of their life forever...
...what was five more moons? It had already been that long.

Ashpaw began to cry again in earnest. They were never going to be allowed to have friends and a father at this rate. But there was still hope, if they just were able to hang on to Lightstorm. Through many hiccups, their eyes screwed up in a faint effort to stem their own emotions, they nodded. They gasped for air; fresh panic chilled their lungs and clutched at their chest. They struggled to speak, desperate that Lightstorm should not leave them before they could say their choice aloud.

"I— I— I—" they gulped, still gasping. For all that it burned in their belly, they were glad their father was in the medicine den, and unable to witness their embarrassing display. "I w-won't, g-go to s-see him, if, if th-th-that's wh-what you w-w-w-want," they choked out. They barely suppressed a renewed wail, but they shut their eyes tight as fresh and hot tears forced their way out. Saying the words made their anger at Lightstorm burn hotter, made them for an instant regret their decision; of course, they would never betray dad like this. But the regret was momentary; they couldn't imagine going around camp and never seeing another kind look from Lightstorm. Her cold anger was far too much to bear. And it wasn't the first time they had been forcibly separated from Nightsnow. But it will be the last, they swore to themself. As soon as I'm a warrior, not even Cloudstar will be able to stop me from knowing dad.
