A sudden split between light and dark tones, me likes but I honestly feel that the rectangular peice behind the "velum" word feels slightly out of place, maybe because it ends suddenly at the point where the dark side of the image starts. Maybe blending it's end or changing it's shape could make it fit in more comfortably?

But..well...I'm really hooked onto your work now, lol. Maybe it's because I'm into this sort of design too.

all the 2d right of the white area detracts from the piece. I'm assuming this was made with Bryce renders 'cause i can see some spots where it's aliased [i'm a prick about that, ask anyone that knows me] that could be touched up a little. all in all, this is pretty solid.
