Haha, maybe I can help you. Eridan is a troll from the web comic Homestuck, and trolls kinda disregard gender. Feferi (the female) and Eridan's relationship is very interesting in the actual comic, because Feferi doesn't love Eridan but Eridan loves her. I don't know what's really happening in this comic, but since by the look of their eyes they're dead and probably in dream bubbles, Feferi is probably trying to get Eridan to return sanely to her or something, because before he died he went crazy and killed her and a few other people.
I'm sure that made no sense to you if you don't know what Homestuck is. XD Basically read the comic~
