Am I aware that this is a terribly unoriginal title? Yes. Do I realize that it seems like every Discord I draw have nearly the same expression? Yes, much to my own annoyance. -headdesk- Do I know that the stained glass style in the cartoon is drastically different than this? Yes. Do I care? ...not particularly. XDI was just finishing up some sewing for the day and seeing as I had a bit of extra time, decided to finish this painting. I really enjoyed the stained glass style I used in another picture before and decided to make my water colors feel loved again. Other than that, it gave me an excuse to doodle a knot design in the center, which it always fun to do. Originally I was going to have both Luna and Celestia in the picture, but I couldn't get enough details in that I felt it would be more fun just with Discord and Celestia. Besides, as much as I ship this pairing, I don't seem to have any pictures of them together -save for my first 'tablet practice' comic- and thought it would be a good opportunity to remedy that.
I'm extremely happy with how Celestia came out. My only disappointment with Discord is the fact he has the same smug grin I ALWAYS seem to draw him with, even though I explicitly drew a more serious expression on his face in the pencil draft. Next time, you better cooperate with the pencil plans, Mr. Pen and Paintbrush. BI

This is an amazing piece of art I've seen. The colors express the picture. It looks like hard work was put into this artwork. I, must say this is very well made. It's very beautiful, 5 lost it so very much. Some bad sides tho, is that the colors seem dark, but It's very well made, I love this piece of art and it looks like effort and hard work was created in this. You should be very happy to have created this, and this is my opinion, i do enjoy it, and other artists can look at this and get inspired by it.

I am not really a special member but yes guys, I judge masterpieces and create contests.
In my opinion, this drawing is beautiful, and really, the description about the title? No, no, I don't care for that.

Sorry, just got around to reading it today! It's really quite good and a spin on the Celestia/Discord relationship that I never really considered. It's really well written and, although there's some nit picky things I could pick at, it's an overall satisfying read. ^w^

Oh wow, this is really neat. With a few changes, this could be a real window! It'd almost certainly have to be copper foil, but hey, anything worth doing is worth doing well.

I really love how Discord came out here, his eye in particular. He just looks so beastly, it's magnificent! And the background patterns are just splendid too. Love seeing your paintings!

I don't think any of the things you listed as issues in the first paragraph of your words on this work were really problems. It being the same expression as your other pieces doesn't really change the intrinsic value, the style really shouldn't match the cartoon's, and the title doesn't really have any bearing on the value of the work either. Of course, you know this. Overall I think you did a rather good job, you really got the effect across and I must say it makes me a bit jealous, I should go practice drawing stain glass windows now...

Really? Maybe it's because I'm just starting in digital art, but I find working with the tablet, layers, etc. on an image editor so much more difficult than just using markers, paints, etc. It seems that each has their own set of benefits, but maybe I just need more digital practice. c:

Yeah, i just kinda never liked traditional drawing too much at school but when I've bought myself a tablet recently, drawing with it really hooked me up, so my opinion is kinda biased
