Description
A character with a lot of money in fiction is basically equivalent to a character with magic. Their wealth allows them to do almost anything you can imagine, provided you give them proper motivation to do it. If you want them to go on an Indiana Jones-esque adventure and find a lost civilization, they can afford it. If you want them to go to space and fight aliens in zero gravity, they can afford it. If you want them to have a game show room in their house so they can test out their new dog, then you and I are on the same wavelength.Unlike characters with magic, rich characters are generally perceived to be boring sticks in the mud by default. So we don't get to see their money used for much other than showing off the fact that they are, in fact, rich. I say we need more Scrooge McDucks from DuckTales, rather than Scrooge McDucks from Mickey's Christmas Carol. Β Put that money to good use.

Dazzle is what he is. She should accept the gift from her parents. She wanted a cat and got it. And apparently a cat with mental issues and with a tiara on its head.

Biologically its a cat. So it is a cat! If it looks like a cat, purrs like a cat, and smells like a cat, its a cat! Seriously? Why call something by another name when it isn't! If you can't say what you mean, you can't mean what you say! Diamond Tiara is just being obnoxious and deserves a good swatting. The only real issue is that Dazzle acts like a dog but in the final analysis Dazzle is a furball. And furball instincts always come to the fur.
Like when they vomit up a hairball into your workboots.

That sounds reasonable, but what if it's mentally a dog? As in, it still looks like a cat, but it doesn't purr or smell like one.

Just because one thinks differently doesn't change biology. A mind can be taught to think a different way, but a body cannot become something else. At least not without Genetic restructuring or magic.

Genies always exploit the loopholes in the original stories. Disney might have made them funny guys but the original stories there was always a catch to the wishes. A cat with a dog mentality is tame in what could have happened.
