Ahem! Today...I'm going to tell you the story of how this vector came to be.

An awfully short time ago, in a strange and far-off mind, an interesting idea formed. It was the idea to have Diamond Tiara go off on a believable adventure. And it was said that this idea was both ridiculous and pointless since Diamond's an unpopular minor antagonist who's too prissy to go out and actually do anything important. But one day...inspiration befell this odd idea. A light bulb appeared overhead, and visions appeared and developed. It was as if the idea had gained life. And in but a single night...the idea was given physical form.

Many moons rose and set, about a week of them. Ideas of art style, character design, and the like continued to appear like vapor on a foggy morning. And when the last necessary element fell into place, I loaded up the software and got to work. But people would likely have no clue about the context behind this image without an explanation, and that is why it would be up to me to provide one.

Indeed...this is the tale of the fabled vector of Mager Blutooth.

For quite awhile now, I've been brainstorming ideas for a Diamond Tiara adventure story, particularly one I could render in a Paper Mario-esque style. I've read some Diamond adventurers before, but they're almost always either make-believe adventures that she has with Silver Spoon/the CMC or simply dangerous situations she gets placed in by a storm, getting lost, a wild animal, etc. What I was looking for was a reason for her to actually set off on a real adventure.

The key issue that interferes with this kind of story is that the threat cannot be too serious. Otherwise, it would make no sense for Diamond to go on the adventure instead of just calling in the Elements of Harmony to take care of it. Sure, you could have the Mane Six get kidnapped by the Big Bad and have Diamond forced into the role of saving them, but considering the Mane Six's accomplishments, it would be a little unbelievable for Diamond to succeed where they fail.

However, the thought occurred to me: what if Diamond were put up against a threat that only she and a select few others could see? What if this truly was a serious threat that Diamond couldn't convince the Mane Six actually existed? What if this threat existed within something of great power that skirts the main focus of the show: modern technology? If that were truly the case, I'd say I have my adventure.

What's the Timeworn Vortex, you ask? It's the legendary device hidden deep beneath Ponyville that threatens to tear the entirety of the world asunder if unleashed. And Diamond, for her own selfish purposes, seeks to prevent the mysterious technopathic creatures known as the Imps from gaining control of it.

That's about what I've come up with so far. I'm not planning any kind of series or story with this idea at this time. I simply had to make something out of this idea.
