You have drawn a reference to RG Veda, so I instantly love it, but there are many reasons why.

First off, the natural closeness between the two, while still having a guarded nature, is completely in character; Ashura doesn't give a damn who sees them, and Yasha doesn't want Ashura to get into trouble.

Next is the colours; you have used the reds and blacks of their clothes brilliantly, highlighting such things as Ashura's figure, folds in fabric and the shading of the areas out of light. By using the dark red on Ashura's uniform as you did, you have made both in colours that naturally contrast with the light pink of the Cherry Blossoms in the background, bringing more attention to the loving pair. The slightly shy yet coy look on Ashura's face is perfectly in sync with the scene, as well as the slight blush on Yasha's face.

I admit to being a little disappointed with how short Yasha's hair has been drawn, but given that having the length of hair he does in RG Veda in a school environment would be frowned upon, I imagine him being forced by Yuuko to get it cut, which makes me smile when I imagine how she did it.

All in all, it is a very well drawn and thought out picture, shown in the art itself and all of the little 'what if' scenarios that come to mind when one sees it.

This is very romantic and sweet. I like how the leaves falling on them are in the shapes of hearts, but not all of the leaves in the background are hearts, which was a wise choice. I like that there is not many branches visible and it leads into a more alone and together feeling. I like how the girls hair looks to be blowing in the breeze and how some of the leaves are blowing with the hair, very good detail. I like that you can only see one of the girls eyes as it leads to a more thoughtful look in her face.

CLAMP! Kuuuurde, aż się młodość przypomina.. A zaczytywanie się RG Vedą już w ogóle, chociaż zawsze jednak największą słabość miałam do X-a..

I agree with you so much!! Ashura & Yasha is such a great pairing, it's just that RG Veda just have too many angst in it that the love fades away (I remember having finished the manga and don't know whether to feel happy that they're finally together, still sad from the other characters' death or what..)!

But when i see them back in Tsubasa, I just couldn't help but to feel touched by their love (and how amazingly stunning they are with less detail in Tsubasa drawing style)..

Anywho, congrats on winning third place!
