Ube is generally the more quiet type, but she isn’t shy. She likes talking to people, but does not like to start conversations as she fears whatever she will say will be replied with something more hurtful. But if someone earned her trust, she is more chatty and willing to help if she can. But if someone lost her trust or is showing they are really untrustworthy, then she tends to be more quiet and reserved, until she reaches a certain limit, where she will start being more sassy and assertive. But if she has to use force, then she will use it.

Backstory
Ube was born to a loving family in Inkwell Isle 3. When she was a child, she was taught by her mother on how to bake goods and how to make ice cream with their ingredient, as well as make desserts with their ingredient, ube, a purple yam where Ube got her name. Growing up, Ube has baked cookies, cupcakes, cakes, and made ice cream desserts for her family and friends. Even made a small business out of it. But one day, when Ube was in college, she tried to fit in with some friends her age and impress them with the cookies she baked. Those friends were happy, at least they seemed happy. But soon, they tricked her and threw her cookies to the ground. Warning her not to stain their name again. And Ube was left friendless by that time. Ever since then, Ube was bullied throughout college. That was until she had a crush on a guy. She asked the guy if he and she can be friends, so Ube can at least get to know him before they even started dating. The guy, of course, agreed. The two began hanging out together, talking, chatting, joking, anything friends do. But then one day, that guy has began avoiding her. Ube tried to talk to him, but he only kept silent. And then, it was revealed that the guy was taken by one of her ex-friends, who laughed at her for thinking she ever had a chance. The rumors spread of her being a “man-stealer” and Ube was given glares and looks of scorn ever since. It has gotten so bad, Ube to go to the point of telling the college authorities about it. But even after she did that, people still spread rumors about her throughout the neighborhood like fire. And the authorities hardly did anything.

Ube has grown tired of the abuse and getting embarrassed left and right. In a desperate attempt to make it end, she went to find the rumored Devil’s Casino. She asked some people who were rumored to enter the Devil’s Casino like Sally Stageplay for directions. And from there, she went. Ube entered the casino bravely, as she heard horrifying stories of what the Devil has done to people who bailed out of their deal or joined him. But she went anyway. She passed through many of the people who made bets and played, some winning, some losing. That was until she bumped into King Dice. King Dice looked down at her with a devious smirk and Ube felt disgusted. He took interest to her and Ube used this as her chance to ask him to see the Devil. And he happily led him to the demon himself.

The Devil stared menacingly at Ube, which made her shiver. But she used her courage to speak up, remarking how he was a “miracle worker.” And she wanted a miracle now. The Devil just smiled and asked what she wanted. And Ube sent her request. She told the Devil she wanted to be loved by her peers. She wanted friends who will accept her, respect her, love her, or maybe even look up to her like she is their idol. And she even requested some sort of power so she can fight anyone who wronged her or anyone.

And just like that, the Devil made a deal.

“You give me your soul and I will make sure everyone accepts you,” he said. “Deal?”

Ube gulped and accepted the deal. And just like that, she made a Deal with the Devil. At that moment, she felt the power grow inside her and it made her feel more powerful. Powerful enough to take down her friends once and for all. She thanked the Devil and went back home. Ever since that day, Ube’s life changed. She went to her college, only to find herself stared by peers. Only these stares were more of awe, shock, or joy. And some had the courage to ask her to be their friend. They had eyes that sparkled, like they saw something amazing. Use felt honored and loved, feeling happy that people are finally accepting her. However, the ones who looked at her with scorn was her ex-friends. One of her friends, who served as the leader of the group, told her that just because she did something “cool,” doesn’t make her one of them. Ube scoffed and told her that she isn’t the “queen” anymore and walked off with a smile to her studies.

This went on for a few weeks before the leading ex-friend went and asked Ube to meet her behind the gym. Ube knew this was a fight and she wanted to test her new power, so she obliged. The ex-friend and Ube stood face to face. And then, the ex-friend punched her in the face, hurling so many insults and hurtful sentences so much, it felt like no end. Ube, angry, has gotten up and began fighting her ex-friend back, venting out her anger and frustration, as well as telling her that she was no “queen” and once everyone finds out her friend’s true self, no one will bow to her. Ube then stood back up, pointing her finger at her “queen” ex-friend and told her that she will pay. Her ex-friends laughed at that, but unknown to them, Ube’s finger began glowing brighter at a faster rate and all of a sudden, a dash of purple light hit the ex-friend, throwing her into the wall. Her other ex-friends rushed to her side, but some started yelling at Ube, who stood still with shock. But then she ran away, trying to get away with what she has done.

Ube ran to the Devil’s Casino, demanding King Dice to see the Devil. And King Dice, with that devious smirk, led her to the Devil. Use demanded that they end the deal as these were powers she did not want. She envisioned something that won’t cause a ruckus, but this caused a ruckus. This wasn’t what she wanted. The Devil just laughed and stared Ube down, telling her that she got her miracle and she can now collect souls for him to steal with this power. He felt offended that Ube did not like her miracle, since this world has been cruel to Ube and he helped her. Use was horrified after learning this. Before she ran away, she told the Devil she will never collect souls for him and ran out. Ever since then, Ube was a runaway debtor and was left feeling conflicted. This feeling made her feel insane deep down, as the “miracle” she got still had people her age approaching her to be her friend, but she turned in her soul to the Devil to make this. She loved it and she hated it. And she didn’t want to let this go, as she feared that once all is done, she will have no friends.

Unknown to her, a pair of cups were on their journey to collect soul contracts. And that included her own.

Yay, I redid my Cuphead OC's ref! This took forever, especially with her hair oof. And yeah, decided to change Ube from a teacup to an ice cream cup. Because she is based off my love of ube ice cream and I decided to make the ice cream her hair. Now, I wanna eat ube ice cream, but it ain't summer!
